15. The Fighter - The Fighter’s greatest strength is its willingness to treat the characters with respect and define them by their humanity. Their feelings and actions resonate with all of us and become the driving force behind this powerful story about a working class family.

12. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button - The fantastic mr Fincher has succeeded in turning the horrid Forrest Gump script into something actually watchable, while Brad Pitt has enough charisma to keep us interested until the end. You might occasionally get involved with the characters, but after nearly three hours, this no-substance film will leave you with a curious case of hollowness.

7. Rabbit Hole - A gem of a film with two terrific leads. Delicate, touching, inspiring, Rabbit Hole will leave you smiling.
